A commemoration for the 146 victims of the Triangle fire. The young immigrant women workers at the factory would have worn a shirtwaist themselves, without the adornment. What appears to be an embroidered design on this garment made out of the building material, Tyvek, is actually the hand-inscribed names of all the fire victims. The piece was developed in collaboration with author Alida Brill. Pictures by Michael Markham.
