April 2 & 3, 1911
Father Demo’s notes from Sunday April 2 show that he invited all to a Mass to pray for the “suffragio delle vittime”, the members of the congregation lost in the fire and to offer condolences to these victims’ families, who would be attending. The April 3rd schedule shows that at 7am, Father Demo said Mass for “Defuntis bruciati fuoco Washington Place”, for the dead burnt in the fire at Washington Place. Father Demo never identified the fire as the Triangle Fire, but by its street location.
