The idea of stitching the names of the victims just kind of came to me. However, there were a lot of names. So then I reached out to friends, colleagues, people, different organizations and many people have agreed to stitch a name. I’ve had really great response from the people who’ve made them, just something about the process of doing it and contemplating the life that was gone.
