As a student, Bedford High School, Bedford, MA, I completed this project for National History Day, with the 2018 theme of Conflict and Compromise in History. This exhibit is a wooden trifold that has three 6 ft 30” boards. The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire remains an important event in our history, regarding labor rights and the rise of unions. It is relevant today, as we still see workers domestically and globally fighting for protection. I wanted to talk about this important historical event and the impact and lessons that ring true today.
