On April 5, 2011 students from PS 229 read historical facts of Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire to commemorate April 5, 1911 Funeral Procession and Burial of Unknown Victims at The Cemetery of the Evergreens on the border of Brooklyn and Queens. Three of my students read actual accounts of three young garment workers, two of which were survivors of the fire.
