The images here are of early 1900s New York factories, the voices are those of a Triangle Fire survivor & women at marches in Dhaka, Bangladesh & Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was screened in a truck on 3/25/11 in sites such as Cooper Sq, site of the first Triangle Fire protest. “Terrible Karma,” from a Cambodian garment workers’ song, refers to how the garment industry’s past continues to haunt the present–injustice unresolved comes back.
