My great-grandmother Gertrude “Babe” Lubar was a worker at the Triangle Waist Factory, but luckily left early before the fire began. Her story was told to me at an early age, and I used the personal family connection in a school paper in 1988 at the Park Day School. I used a letter by my grandmother, Erma Rein, to fill in the personal information.
